Final Reminder: Transportation Requests
Dear Ottumwa Families,
As we approach the start of the new academic year, I would like to provide you with a final reminder about the opportunity to request transportation assistance for students residing in hazard zones around their homes.
Final Reminders:
The deadline for submitting transportation requests is August 12th. If you have not yet submitted a request and believe your family qualifies, please do so before the deadline to ensure timely processing. Parents may go to the District Bussing Map to determine if they are eligible for transportation. Families may also review the following link on how to use the bussing map site.
Hazard Zone Review Request: The request form will be available on our school district website and distributed along with the notification. Families who wish to have an area reviewed to be considered for a hazardous area may do so by completing this form.
Our transportation team is committed to reviewing each request thoroughly and working closely with Durham to determine the best transportation solution for eligible students.
Confirmation:
If you have already submitted a transportation request, thank you for taking the necessary steps to ensure the safety of your child on their way to and from school. Families will be notified of the outcome of their request by five business days after submitting the request.
